Dr. Sushree Sangita Mishra
Dr. Sushree Sangita Mishra is currently working as an Associate Professor in Department of Civil Engineering, Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Mumbai. She has received her PhD degree from Centre of Resources Engineering, IIT Bombay in 2013 and M.Tech degree in Irrigation Engineering from G.B. Pant University Uttarakhand in 2007. She has a total academic experience of 13 years in teaching and research. She was awarded Junior research fellowship by ICAR during her M.Tech and Senior research Fellowship in the project “Micro irrigation and precision farming” by Ministry of agriculture. She was sponsored by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and Dptt. of Science and Technology of Govt. of India under international travel grant to present her research work in Italy and Dubai.
Her research interests include Application of GIS and Remote Sensing in water resources engineering, Spatio-temporal drought vulnerability assessment and management, Watershed management, Hydrological modelling and application of soft computing techniques in water resources engineering. She has authored a book on “Natural Resource Management in Hilly Watersheds: A case study of India” published by Lambert academic publishing, Germany and also has published 40 research papers in International journals and conferences. She is associated as an Editorial Board member with “Journal of Architectural Science and Civil Engineering” and also recognized as a potential reviewer by Elsevier for “International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction”. She is also associated as a reviewer with Journal of Remote Sensing Technology, Geomatics, Natural Hazards and Risk (Taylor and Francis), Journal of Agriculture Science and Applications, World Research Journal of Civil Engineering, International Journal of Environment and Climate Change etc. and many reputed national and international conferences. She is a member of IEEE, IEEE-GRSS, life member of Indian society of Remote Sensing (ISRS), Life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Indian Society of Hydraulics (ISH), Life member of International association of Engineers and Member of Hong Kong Chemical, Biological& Environmental Engineering Society.
